July Favorites

WOW! I can’t believe another month has come and gone! It’s August people! Summer is unfortunately nearing its inevitable end, but that also means cooler weather, darker colors, and warmer layers are around the corner. YAY!

But before we start replacing our brightly colored t’s for bulky sweaters, I’ve rounded up a few of this month’s favorites that are still perfect summer. Again, I’ve tried to include a fashion item, a beauty product, and miscellaneous item. Let me know what you think!

High Wasted Boyfriend Crop Jean:

The first item on the list are these high wasted boyfriend capris from American Eagle. I want to say that I purchased these jeans about 3 years ago. While I have always loved the relaxed fit and style of these jeans, I have found myself loving the boyfriend feel of these jeans just a tad bit more this month (and when I say a tad bit more, I mean a lot more). The light wash of these jeans screams summer and the rips down the leg don’t show a ton of skin, but just enough to keep you cool during the hot and humid summer months. Since I purchased this pair of jean capris a while ago, I’ve linked a similar pair above.

Gladiator Sandals:

These shoes are my fav! The wrap-up style makes any outfit seem bohemian and effortless. I love pairing them with cutoff shorts or a simple summery dress.

Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish Top Coat:

My favorite beauty product of this July was the Essie Gel Couture Top Coat nail polish. I love how you don’t need a LED light to set the gel top coat. As a swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor, I easily spend 6 hours in a pool a day. Chlorine can really be rough on a fresh manicure, but this gel top coat helps my freshly painted nails last about 3 to 4 days longer than my manicure would last with a traditional top coat. The colors in this line are absolutely gorgeous, but I also like to add this top coat to other colors I already have in my collection. I’ve been really into doing my nails. I have even been experimenting with different designs. Have you seen my latest blog post where I tried my hand at a diagonal french tip design?

S’ip by S’well Black Licorice Stainless Steel Water Bottle 15oz:

I have been loving this water bottle by S’well. I love the sleek design and the fact that it will keep a cold or hot drink for longer than a normal plastic water bottle, due to the stainless steel interior. Oh and it’s BPA free too! The size of this bottle makes it super easy to throw in a oversized tote or backpack.

If you have seen my last couple of posts on Instagram, you may have seen a couple of succulents featured in my photos. To say I like succulents may be an understatement. They add another texture and dimension to photos and home decor.

“Ideas Become Things” Notebook:

This notebook from Target has gotten some good use this month. The “ideas become things” saying is a great source of motivation. In fact, I’ve been filling the pages with new and exciting blog ideas. So stay tuned!

What have your absolute favs been this month? Any we have in common? Anything I must try? I’d love to hear from you!

much love.
